Three papers with participation of Prof. Rüdiger Kapitza were published at this year’s Middleware conference in Quebec City, Canada: SplitBFT: Improving Byzantine Fault Tolerance Safety Using Trusted Compartments by Ines Messadi, EventChain: A Blockchain Framework for Secure, Privacy-Preserving Event Verification by Signe Schwarz-Rüsch, and MATEE: Multimodal Attestation for Trusted Execution Environments by Anna Galanou (TU Dresden). The areas of Byzantine agreement protocols, blockchain, and trusted execution are part of the new I16’s research areas.
