Tobias Distler presented Micro Replication a novel design concept for fault-tolerant state machines, at the 53rd Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN 2023) in Porto on Wednesday, June 28.
By dividing the protocol into small, specialized, and independent substeps, this concept facilitates, among other things, troubleshooting in such systems, which are normally very complex.
