Fall meeting of the GI Operating Systems Group

On September 28 and 29, Michael Engel invited to this year’s fall meeting of the Operating Systems Group at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg. Under the heading From Programming Languages to Operating Systems, six sessions with a total of 19 presentations provided enough space to discuss the current development trends of the operating-system community in Germany. For our chair, Maximilian Ott presented his work on just-in-time compilation of operating systems, Dustin Nguyen continued with his take on NVall – a persistent and crash-resistant kernel allocator. Eva Dengler won with her master’s thesis Fusion-Clock one of the two prizes for the best thesis of the of Operating Systems Group. Congratulations Eva!
